Confinement

In his difficult life Giuseppe Scalarini was condemned twice to segregation; the first served confined in the islands of Lampedusa and Ustica (1926-1929) and the second in the Istonio and Bucchianico concentration camps (1940) in the Italian region of Abruzzo. His life of confinement is described in the autobiographic book “Le mie isole” edited by Franco Angeli in 1992.
